Artist's Statement:
My journey as an artist began over 35 years ago. I learned about art history and technique in college but experienced art by making it. Early on, I was drawn to watercolor for the fresh and transparent colors AgainsT the crisp white paper. Life is like a canvas of colors, shapes and compositions which inspire me. I enjoy taking workshops in various mediums to expand my style and bring new ideas back to my students. .
I have been teaching watercolor to adults for 19 years and it is rewarding to see my students achieve success and forget their worries as they create art.Express Yourself in Watercolor, is located in Palos Heights, Illinois. I also work and teach acrylic and mixed media.
